The middle of seven children, Kevin was born and raised in western New York. As a first generation college student, he attended Houghton College where he received his BA in history in 1985. After college, he joined MarketSource Corporation, a college marketing and event planning company. There is no question that this experience paved the way for his own company, College Funding Alternatives Inc, that set sail in 1997. Through the years, his heart was opened to the plight of financially poor students and the systemic roadblocks that seemed to keep them there.
In May 2015, the vision to assist first generation and other at risk youth through the overwhelming process of college admissions and financial aid came to fruition. Since then, Kevin has continued to develop a program that would help students not only be admitted to college but see the results of their work in a degree, career and life success.

After graduating from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, Janet began working for IBM where she remained until her first son was born. At that point, she left the paid work force and opted to be a stay-at-home mom. She homeschooled her three sons through middle school and then taught at a private high school in Hightstown for four years. After taking a year off, Janet began working at an insurance agency where she remained for nearly five years.
In March of 2018 she left the insurance business to come work for WISE UP. When asked why she made the change, Janet responded, “I wanted to be a part of an organization that will bring about significant improvement in the lives of others. That is the reason I joined the WISE UP team."
